Fluvanna County Parks and Recreation offers many facilities for the enjoyment of residents and visitors. The Fluvanna Heritage Trail is a hiking, biking and horseback riding trail located at Pleasant Grove.
The Carysbrook Performing Arts center hosts many concerts, plays and other events throughout the year, all of which is funded through donations to the Fluvanna Arts Council.
Perhaps one of the most unique features of Fluvanna is the Fork Union drive-in theatre. The drive-in hosts double-features on Friday, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout the summer. Complete with a full-service concession stand, the drive-in attracts people from all over Virginia to enjoy the thrill and nostalgia of watching movies from the comfort of their vehicles. The Village of Palmyra (Fluvann’a County Seat) is home to the Fluvanna County Historical Society. The society provides tours of the town and the Old Stone Jail during selected times of the year.
The Rivanna Resort is located a mile or two north of Palmyra, and offers golf, horseback riding, and tennis, among other activities.
